We are ready to offer good leadership, says Omo-Agege
—As APC receives more decampees from the PDP.
The Delta APC Governorship candidate in the forthcoming 2023 elections, DSP Ovie Omo-Agege has assured Deltans that he is ready to offer the kind of leadership required to rescue Delta State from the PDP destructive reigns and rebuild the people’s confidence in public governance. He gave the assurance during the inauguration ceremony of the Orogun APC Elders/Leaders Forum at Erhobarho, Orogun yesterday.
Senator Omo-Agege described the PDP administration in Delta State as a government of waste, corruption and incompetence, one made up of people who are unprepared for governance. He added that from available statistics, Delta State tops the list as the highest revenue earner from the Federation Account (FAAC) but lamented the deplorable state of infrastructures, poor conditions of service, denial of pension benefits to retired civil servants and dearth of investments, amongst.
While congratulating the new leadership of the Orogun APC Elders and Leaders Forum, Omo-Agege said they have started well and admonished them to match talk with action by winning more support for the party and her candidates across board.
Omo-Agege said to the newly inaugurated body, ‘…the success of your leadership will be determined by the results of each unit…’. He said it is the turn of Deltans as a people to enjoy good leadership and ‘…we are ready to offer good leadership’.
Earlier in his opening remark, the Chairman, Orogun APC Elders/Leaders Forum, Chief Jones Esombi, thanked the leaders/elders and supporters of the APC, urging them not to leave anything to chance towards ensuring victory like never before for the party’s candidates. Chief Esombi called on all Orogun sons and daughters to close ranks and work for massive victory for Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Ede Dafinone, Hon. Revd Francis E Waive and Barr. Omonade Matthew. Esombi said this is no time for vain talks but strategic mobilization to ensure total victory for the APC in 2023.
The APC Orogun Ward II Chairman, Chief Gabriel Orogun and Chief Esombi later introduced/presented the leaders and members of several cluster groups from the PDP in Orogun who have moved in to join the APC. In welcoming the new decampees including Chief Joseph Eboh, Comrade Ben Omoru and the PDP State Ward 4 leader, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege assured them that they have made the right decisions and that they will never be discriminated against in any way.
