All You Need To Know About The Ongoing Delta State Recruitment, Qualifications And How To Apply

The Delta State Post Primary Education Board has a job advertisement, called on suitably qualified candidates to fill in teaching and non teaching vacancies at the State’s Ministry of Technical Education.

Focus Naija can report that the recruitment exercise is to fill up teaching and non teaching vacancies at the State’s new Technical Colleges across the State.

It was gathered that the current advertisement supersedes the previous one and those that applied earlier are expected to apply again.

Below are the different fields and qualifications required for employment 

Automobile Trades
• Motor Vehicle/Auto Mechanics

• Vehicle Body Building

• Auto Electric Works

• Agric. Implement Mechanics

Qualification required: B.Sc. Ed./B.Ed. (Technical/Automobile Tech. Edu.) or B.Eng./B.Tech./HND (Mechanical, Agric. Engineering or Mechatronics)

Building Trades

• Block laying, Bricklaying (Building Technology or Concreting

• Draughtsmanship Craft B.Sc. Ed. (Technical Education- Building Tech.) or Civil Engineering) Practice

• Painting and Decoration

• Plumbing and Pipe Fitting B.Sc. Ed. (Technical Education – Woodwork Tech.) or Wood Technology

Qualifications required: B.Sc. Ed. (Technical Education- Building Tech.) or 8.Sc./B.Eng./B.Tech/HND (Building Technology or Civil Engineering)

Woodwork Trades

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applications are to be completed online and free of charge at the Ministry of Technical Education’s portal, https://technicaleducation.deltastate.gov.ng/. Upon the successful application anline, applicants will receive a confirmation SMS and/or email (where applicable).

— Applicants are required to upload the following documents to the website above.

a. Academic/ Professional Certificates in respect of (1) above

b. NYSC Discharge Certificate/Exemption or Exclusion Letter

c. Passport Photograph

d. Certificate of Local Government of Origin e. Birth Certificates / Age Declaration

f. National ID Card/NIN Number (Where available)

— Applicants are to apply online within two (2) weeks from the date of this publication.

— Shortlisted candidates would also be notified by SMS and/or email.
a. Only those in the teaching cadre will write a competitive Computer Base Aptitude Test (CBAT) and only candidates who are successful in the CBAT would be invited for the Oral Interview /Microteaching Practicum. b. Applicants shortlisted in the non-teaching cadre, shall undergo a rigorous and competitive oral interview on a date to be sent to them by SMS/email .
