Aba Bye-Election: ESN Invades Hotels in Aba in Search of Fulani Election Mercenaries
The Eastern Security Network (ESN) formed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been moving into some hotels in Aba suspected to be harbouring armed election mercenaries to be used as thugs during the Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency on Saturday.

The thugs reported to have come from the northern part of the country are said to be part of the strategies of some APC State governors in the north to overrun Aba and help rig the election in favour of one of their own, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, whose younger brother is also contesting the election.

About 16 Coaster Buses conveying the Fulanis were sighted in Enitona Hotel, Aba, yesterday. Others were suspected to have lodged in different hotels for lack of space.

This forced the ESN to go in search of them at Benidon Hotel, Terminus Hotel, City Global Hotel and Enitonia Hotel from where some of the Fulani mercenaries were chased away.

A source from the ESN who does not want her name mentioned for security reasons, said some of the Fulanis they interrogated after being arrested confirmed that they were asked to come to Aba from different parts of the north without being told exactly why except that “Senator Orji Uzor Kalu will take care of you and tell you what to do”, she said.

“But we say no to their presence here and we are here to flush them out. We do not want RUGA in igbo land and also do not want bloodshed in Aba during the election. We are also going after others who came from some Niger Delta states who are said to have been moved to a hotel in Ogbor Hill area of Aba from another hotel along Ekenna Avenue.”
