President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has clashed with a South African man on Twitter over xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in the country.

The preacher was criticised by a man using the handle @mndabeni, for saying that innocent Nigerians were being attacked by South Africans.

The man said in reply to one of Suleman’s tweet: “Yeah yeah…for a Nigerian selling drugs is an innocent business, yeah right…fake apostle.”

Suleman fired back at him on Tuesday by blocking the man from having access to his tweets.

“Which of my tweets has correlation with this your senseless comment? You insult me because I said your people should stop killings…you just disgraced your country..manage this BLOCK while you go thru rehabilitation,” he said.

The recent attacks began last week after a taxi driver was murdered by an alleged drug dealer in Pretoria.

Speculations that the alleged killer was a Nigerian sparked protest, looting and burning of business centres owned by foreigners.

Three Nigerians were said to have been killed in the process with several others injured.

Suleman tweeted on Tuesday that all Nigerians should stand against the attacks.

“We can’t keep quiet why hardworking Nigerians in diaspora are been killed. Where are those celebrities who are always standing for unconfirmed stories? These are confirmed killings. Speak up! While we pray for God to intervene. All Nigerians at home and abroad, condemn this!” he said.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, will meet the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Moroe, on Tuesday (today) over the attacks.
