BREAKING: Jubilation in Kaduna As Nigerian Soldiers Arrest Another Kidnapper

Troops of the Nigerian Army deployed on Operation Thunder Strike, on Monday, 2nd September, raided two different kidnappers camps in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

 

According to reliable military source who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeriasaid that the raid on the bandit’s camps located in Ligari and Sabon Gayan villages was carried out at about 2:30 pm by troops of the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army deployed on “Operation Thunder Strike”.

It was learnt that during the raid, a suspected high profile kidnapper terrorising the Kaduna-Abuja highway, one Aminu Mallam alias Baderi, was apprehended at Sabon Gayan.

“The suspect later led troops to his hideout where he kept 108 herds of cattle he rustled. Efforts are currently ongoing to arrest other members of his gangs and collaborators,” the source told NAN.

It was learnt that the victims of the bandit attack were majorly travellers on the now deadly Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

According to a commercial driver plying the said expressway, Jibrin Adamu,he said, he escaped the attack and also said that the bandits kidnapped dozens of some of the travellers along Olam farm at about 5.30 pm.

However, NAN reports that troops of operation thunder strike have been recording successes in their efforts to clear Kaduna-Abuja highway of kidnappers and other criminals.

Meanwhile, iReportAfrica.com had previously reported the confessions of the notorious Kidnap kingpin, Wadume was arrested in his hideout in Kano State in August. Wadume said Babangida introduced him to crime and he is also card carrying member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Moreover, he also contested for the state house of assembly but he lost to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
