Kogi Election Will Be Guns For Guns, Money For Money – Delegates Brag

The era of do or die and money politics may be far from Nigeria as the All Progressives Congress chapter of the confluence state conducted primaries for the governorship election slated for November 2019.

 

Emerging as winner of the primaries, incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello scored 3127 of the total delegates votes cast while trailing behind were Sani Lulu who scored only 110 and Irukera with a meagre 4 votes with two others who stepped down.

Although the primaries was tagged show your card and collect money, more worrisome is the remarks made by delegates after the conclusion of the primaries and Yahaya Bello was eventually declared winner.

Receiving as much as 750k per votes and beaming smiles from ear to ear, delegates declared that the election will be marred with violence if that’s the only way to secure victory for the ruling party.

They chanted,

 

Guns For Guns, Money For Money, Yahaya Bello re-election is a must.
