Buhari Kicks-off Summit For Ministers-designate Ahead Of Swearing-in

President Muhammadu Buhari has flagged-off the much publicized presidential retreat for Ministers-designate.

The Presidency had earlier announced a two-day special retreat for incoming Ministers from Aug. 19 – 21, 2019.

The Ministers-designate, according to a statement, would be formally sworn in at the Presidential Villa, on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Our State House correspondent reports that Federal Permanent Secretaries and top government functionaries are in attendance in today’s event.

Also in attendance are the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, some State Governors, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; and Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.

The event is taking place at the conference centre of the presidential villa, FCT, Abuja.

The two-day retreat is a prelude to the formal swearing-in of new Ministers on Wednesday.
