Unfollow Buhari Trends On Twitter After Osibanjo’s Suspension

Following the removal of Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo’s twitter verification and subsequent suspension of his account, Nigerians have started a campaign to unfollow Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari.

In the morning when Focus Naija reporter first saw the hash tag on the micro-blogging site, Buhari had 2.3 million, but as at this night the number has incredibly depreciated to 2.1 million as the hash tag continued to trend.

By the end of the week, a dozen of Nigerians might key into the campaign.

One of the earliest unfollow Buhari campaign tweets read;

The power belongs to the people. Therefore I #unfollowbuhari
