We Were Instigated Into Riot, Ozoro Poly Students Beg Management

Students of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro have expressed remorse to the school management over the protest carried out earlier this week over poor results published.

A statement obtained from DSPZ radio and signed by Marvelous Okiti reveals that students of the institution were instigated into protest by “hired group of students from other institutions (paid, sent, informed and ready to hijack genuine grievances for political gains of their pay masters)”, it read.

The Students Union Government of the institution already on top of the matter, has held several meetings with the management to remedy the situation even as it dismissed viral reports that a student of the institution was shot to death by security operatives.

Management are still working on the matter, please remain calm and be faithful to your studies. Write your exams & go home happy.
However, we must know at this point that we can’t get what we want by violence & riot. We must understand that there are plans to bring the glory of dspz down by some unknown underground group of people trying to use you and I to cause problem for ourselves, believe me.
Remember that most of this violence are not caused by our great students of Dspz but unknown hired group of students from other institutions (paid, sent, informed and ready to hijack our genuine grievances for political gains of their pay masters.
Few months ago SUG DAIRY matter came on board & some few students that don’t want the peace of the school raise up the anger of students against management and SUG yet peace was found and now the same group people came up with the plan of destroying the peace and causing unnecessary discord between students and management by creating the false impression that recent mass failure was done out of wickedness but that is not true.
Management is already on the matter trying remedy situation where necessary. By doing so they have listened to complaints from students with view to addressing them.
But the interest of those hijacking the protest is to cause trouble and destroy your lives. For instance, the fake rumors of a student that was shot death by armed security men and other hate speeches were plots to instigate unrest within the school premises.
