Protesting Ozoro Poly Students Don’t Read, Can’t Spell Their Names Correctly – Dean

The dean of the school of general studies, Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro bemoaned how worrisome it has become that students of the institution no longer read their books and many of them can hardly spell their own names.

This was disclosed in a meeting with the poly don, led by the Students Union Government’s Vice President, Akele Mary to help recall the result of students that performed poorly in the first semester examinations.

According to reports gather, the dean who revealed that there was no going back on management’s decision, also ruled out a possible review of the examination results declaring that students no longer study their books and some cannot spell their names, hence the decision to remove continuous assessment by the management.

He said:

“I want to make it clear that the students got what they deserved, no amount of pressure on the school would make us recall the results, what ever decision the students are going to take the school management is fully prepared and the students would be the once to feel the major impact.

He continued;

“Students no longer read, and why the CA was removed was for the school management to analyze the ability of the students, there are some students who can’t spell their own names.
