84 Delta pensioners dead, another 120 battle terminal old age illnesses over non-payment of arrears

The attention of the executive governor of Delta state, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is being drawn to the poor state of neglect suffered by  pensioners across the state over nonpayment of retirement benefits and ill health.

 

Taking to his verified Instagram profile to roll out statistics of the dead and dying pensioners, Mr Jollof pleaded with the ‘Ekwueme of Delta’ to look into the case of pensioners who had put in several years of their lives serving the government.

According to the Instagram influencer cum media activist, it is worrisome that Delta state has lost about 84 pensioners with 94 out of 120 sick ones also at the verge of death, since the inception of his administration.

Speaking further, Jollof in the good tidings message to Okowa challenged him to publish the number of pensioners he had paid, citing that the governor claims to have inherited unpaid retirement benefits from previous administrations which he is battling to offset.
