Policeman in agony as fraudsters posing as vice president empty his bank account


A police officer was in agony as he narrated his ordeal in the hands of Internet scammers who posed as the vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria to defraud him.

The policeman who featured on a short interview with a reporter, recounted how the fraudsters made contact with his wife using a fake profile of Yemi Osibanjo the vice president on social media and told her that she has won N.9million for tradermoni and should send an account number for credit.

According to him, his excited wife then forwarded his account details to the fraudsters to make deposit only for them to start making series of withdrawals from the account.


Looking sober and conquered, he also showed the reporter the series of bank debit alerts he received as the scammers did justice to his account. He confided to the reporter that he had contacted the SARS office and the police headquarters to help fish out the perpetrators of the crime.
