Three killed as Rivers vigilante group attack cultists hideout


A raid by members of the local security outfit in Rivers State, OSPAC on the hideout of notorious cultists at Ochigba Community in Ahoada East Rivers State on wednesday has led to the killing of three persons.

Casualties included two cultists and a member of the outfit with many sustaining varying degrees of gunshot injuries from the raid


According to reports gathered from villagers and eye witnesses, they disclosed that the unrepentant cultists had held some group of people who came for traditional marriage hostage insisting that they won’t let them go until they give them money.


Trouble reportedly started when an unknown person placed a call to OSPAC notifying them of the activities of the cultists and they mobilized immediately to the scene.


The cultist on sighting the OSPAC opened fire which was gallantly returned by the vigilantes forcing them to retreat until they were cornered at their hideout.

The gun battle that later ensued claimed that lives of a member of OSPAC and two cultists.
