Knee ache parable binds OmoAgege’s knee bending presidential stunt

A picture is worth a thousand words, and Ovie OmoAgege’s has caused quite a stir as social commentators chipped in their  hundreds and made contributions from different perspectives with opinions either for or against him.

I am obliged therefore, to critically analyse from both perspectives as I do not intend to conclude without hearing from both sides.

Like every plot and it’s onward play, the All Progressive Congress got it right in a long time coming when it clinched principal officers of the 9th Senate and Federal House Of Representatives on Tuesday’s inauguration notably among them, the emergence of Senator Ovie OmoAgege representing Delta Central as Deputy Senate President, leaving with it a trail of dust.

Many a one, were filled with shock and a few others overwhelmed by disgust when on the first official visit of the newly elected heads of the Senate to the presidency, OmoAgege bent a kneel in handshake with President of the federation, Muhammadu Buhari, which fortunately has been described to be an ethnic stunt pulled by the senator.

An Urhobo son can never develop knee aches from digwe when greeting his elders.

But, we hope the trend started by the Obarisi of Urhoboland wouldn’t end with Buhari as he will be expected to bend the kneel to also greet all Urhobo Kings, fellow senators older than him and heads of parastatals if he so desires.
